Bonita Springs Movies in the Park

Are you looking to combine family viewing fun with fresh air? The City of Bonita Springs is hoping to make Riverside Park the destination for cinema fans this winter with "Movies in the Park". Sponsored in conjunction with both the Bonita Springs/Estero Association of REALTORS (B.E.A.R.) and the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, the plan was recently given final approval by the city council. The Bonita Springs Area Assistance Office will receive 50% of the proceeds for each showing. To help minimize noise levels, the city will close Old 41 between Wilson St. and Pennsylvania Ave while the movies are showing. The monthly film offerings include Jan. 6 "The Wizard of Oz" Feb. 3 "E.T." and March 3 "Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring". Movie start times are 7pm.
